Wellness Exams

An adult wellness exam aims to provide evidence-based guidance toward the promotion of optimal health and well-being, screen for and potentially prevent premature morbidity and mortality from chronic diseases, and to provide age-appropriate cancer screening and immunization recommendations.

An annual wellness exam is covered by most insurance plans at 100% under the preventative health benefit. This means that you have no out of pocket costs associated with this visit*.

Many people only come to the doctor when they’re sick or when they’re hurt, but if we only get to see you when you are sick or in pain, we never get a chance to talk about how to achieve wellness and stay healthy. As such, we encourage all of our patients to take advantage of this benefit on an annual basis.



Well Child Visits

A Well Child Exam is a comprehensive, full body exam that ensures a child is growing and developing properly while identifying health concerns early through preventative screenings and an in-depth risk assessment.

Recommended Well Child Exam Schedule:

First week of birth, 2 months, 4 months, 6 months, 9 months, 12 months, 15 months, 18 months and annually thereafter.
At TRMC, we’re happy to provide well child exams/check-ups for those 2 months and older who have already received their first well child exam with a pediatrician.



Sports Physicals

A sports physical is a limited exam and risk assessment primarily focused on whether a child is healthy enough to play sports. A sports physical should not be substituted for an annual wellness exam.

We are happy to bill your insurance for a sports physical under your child’s well child exam benefit. If your child has already received his/her well child exam for the year and/or you do not wish to schedule this as a wellness exam, the cost will be $50.



DOT Physicals

We are happy to bill your insurance for a DOT physical under your annual wellness exam benefit. If you have already received your annual wellness exam and/or do not wish to schedule this as a wellness exam, the cost will be $150.



Same Day Services

Though we are not technically a “walk-in” clinic, we make every effort to get our patients, and new patients when able, in for same day visits in the event of an illness, injury, or urgent new concern.



Chronic Care Management

Medicare covers CCM services for people with two or more chronic conditions that are expected to last at least a year.

A health care professional creates a plan of care to help you meet your health goals in order to: coordinate care between providers, offer regular check-ins, offering a minimum of 20 minutes of services per month.



Contraception Counseling

We offer a range of contraceptive methods, including hormonal options, Depo Provera injections and Nexplanon implants in lieu of personalized counseling to help patients choose the best method for their needs and reproductive goals, while also providing access to pregnancy testing and related reproductive health services like STI screening.



Skin Checks

Coming Soon in 2026.

Albeit not covered as a “preventative” screening, the Skin Cancer Foundation recommends all adults get a skin exam once a year.

In accordance with our goals to provide the most comprehensive, preventative care to our patients, TRMC will be offering routine skin checks coming soon in 2026.


